…well pretty much in the whole universe. he is perfect. i love him.
the MOST BEAUTIFUL human being on this planet…
and you thought salad fingers was creepy…
i like cute hippos.
…don’t you?
salad fingers!
…just watch it, laugh, then be slightly creeped out. apparently this is only episode 1, i’ll have to check out the others and let you guys know about them
…enjoy! puahaha
are my contacts working correctly?
so ari, julia, and i were walking up to north campus earlier tonight. we were just strolling along minding our own business… all of a sudden i say, “DUDE are you guys seeing what i’m seeing across the street on the right….?!” i was seeing sheep yes, sheep. and many of them [black and white, the swiss don’t discriminate]. behind a fence across the street from clinica sant’anna. they definitely weren’t there earlier today– am i still in lugano? i forget sometimes when sheep pop up.
…ahhh yes, but i am in switzerland…
…only in switzerland…
OMG the Italians don’t just eat PASTA…AMAZING.
who woulda thunk it?! the past 4 months have been filled with tortellini, pasta, spaghetti, all that kinda stuff… but tonight… ah tonight was different
went to my french professor’s house in bellinzona tonight for dinner and a review for our final exam. noe and i took the train together, then 8 of us ran into each other at the bellinzona train station so we took 2 cabs. the other cab costed about 14 francs while ours costed 18! what a ripoff. anyhoo, the professor’s house is a cute little townhouse-type thing– yellow with a couple of white stripes.
the prof’s house was SO cute. it kind of reminded me of my home– actually, i think i just felt at home. it was nice being in an actual house as opposed to a dorm or the grotto– and it was just very comfortable. the prof’s 2 daughters (aged around 4 and 10 maybe) were being cute and whatnot and her hubby was cool (he’s ticinese but speaks english and french fluently in addition to italian).
we did some review then it was time to eat! there was a LOT of food and the main course was POLENTA [click there to read about it because i can’t really explain it! just ignore the picture given on that page… our polenta wasn’t fried. it was made in a wood stove i think]. anyway, there was salad (one that i brought), polenta, some dried meat goodness, and a stewy-type thing with carrots, veal, etc, that you put on the polenta. it was SO good. [monica, i hope you’re reading this
] for dessert, there were lemon bars, brownies, tangerines, kiwis, and cookies [all the baked goods were homemade]. it was an awesome meal and i am totally satisfied
oh and during/after dinner, miriam (the prof’s youngest daughter) took noe’s camera and was snapping photos like crazy! she was SO cute and SO entertained
however she did take about 40 million pictures of me … i guess my face was entertaining or something because i just kept making different faces at her
so now noe has 40 million pictures of me on her camera. haha
yes we reviewed for the final, but we also did a lot of talking. the prof asked us to call her by her first name (Sara) while in her home
it was nice talking and getting to know one another — i made some new friends who were in the other french 300 class. it was also really nice being in a welcoming home eating a delicious meal. i haven’t had this nice feeling in a few months!
the weather is SO…
…shitty. it has been raining the past 3 days…nonstop. when the clouds decide to go to the bathroom, they’re in there for a long time. it’s almost 2 pm on friday afternoon here and the streetlights are already on. that’s how gloomy the weather is. and apparently the rain isn’t going to let up anytime soon. yay for us.
the mountains do look really cool though, i have to admit. half the time you can’t even tell there are mountains because the clouds are so low, but other times there will be a ring of clouds about midway up the mountain. sorry, i don’t carry the camera to school, or else i’d take pictures
some pic-chaaaas :D
… from last night’s game! here’s me being a balla:
aaaaand here’s the team (along with coach poopy.) :
…look at him standing all awkward and whatnot…
last basketball gaaaaaaaame…
…of the semester
we lost 78-38. super. colleen and franzi’s last game at FC– they’re graduating this semester.
highlight of the game : i did a soccer pass (overhead with both hands) to zein… and i don’t ever lightly toss the ball… i chuck it pretty hard… well this time it went through her hands and hit the wall behind her pretty hard… just so happens to be where the other team was sitting.
sooooo if 2 girls hadn’t moved their heads, they would have had some bad concussions or something. let’s just say the gym was silent. and everyone probably thought i was some crazed loser.
cool.
coach “washedupnogoodexgeorgetownandswissnationalteamplater” (good luck reading that), sat me out the majority of the game even though i missed one of the at least 6 shots i took. thanks. we passed very well during this game. that’s a plus. anil, if you want details, get over it.
haha love ya bro. (not really).
Regalo Abbracci! Abbraccio Gratis!! :)
…both phrases mean “free hugs” in Italiano! … i’ll explain in a bit
today, keely, ari, and I went downtown for the first time in a while and noticed many new things! there were christmas lights stringed everywhere, and we discovered a big christmas tree at the end of via nassa in the main piazza! it was so pretty
keely was in search of a beret in order to look more euro when she goes back to OK for winter break. we checked out H& first, she didn’t find anything, but i bought a purse…wellllll more like a satchel. lol i plan on using it for school maybe? i dunno
we then headed to Manor, but as we were making our way over there, we saw a bunch of people with signs saying, “regalo abbracci” and “abbraccio gratis”… meaning, “free hugs”
keely flipped out cause she said it’s just some movement to brighten the lives of people… they give you free hugs
keely said one of her friends in OK started doing this and he’ll be glad to know they do it in Switzerland too.
tahnee and alma invited us over to catherine’s multiple in giardino for a little christmas party since it’s alma’s “first christmas” (she’s from Jordan, so she doesn’t celebrate it, duh!)
it was awesome! i wore my new poncho
they baked cookies, made crepes, lots of chocolate, wine, and good company!!! (simmy, catherine, tahnee, ari, katie, keely, alma, and myself)… we had our fun while people were being “promiscuous” at the franklin college sponsored “sexy party”… gross.
we were so stuffed that we decided to take a walk and head over to the falcon’s nest and check out the sexy party. we really just wanted to go and laugh at the drunk people and the ridiculous outfits. keely, katie, and i walked in and didn’t walk too far cause the floor was slick (from what, i don’t even want to know)… it was just… ew. katie and keely then left to come back to girasole, and ari and i werrrre going to go downtown to see all the lights, but we changed our minds… we headed down the hill and a car was coming up while we were coming down, so we got out of the way… and to end a perfectly good day….
…i stepped in poop. why is it that animal poop has to smell SO much worse than human poop? gosh.
good night!
