Another favorite thing Boots loves about NY is all the people watching.  It is the best place in the world to watch people of all shapes and sizes run by.  You can even people watch from your window at work into the windows of the buildings around you.  This weekend Boots saw a nun on roller-skates on the 71st street Pier - does it get better?

T here. Back with some more music you got to hear. Considering last week we looked at some R&B, I figured I’d flip the script and hit you all off with some Post-Punk. Each week I’m gonna try and vary the style of music as much as I can. So without further ado…

Notice how there is no ‘the’ in there. Get it straight. Also, in my opinion, the post-punk genre seems more Alternative than anything. So all you anti-punk rockers out there, don’t get turned off immediately, bear with me.

They’ve really grown on me in the past month or so, and if you ever get the chance to check them live… do so. They’re from the UK, have a sound all to themselves, and the music is tight.

Hello all!!

I am too excited for the new season of lost!!

Seen any of the spoilers for the new season?

Here is a little taste of things to come…

I still cannot believe this happened to me…people can be such magnificent bastards sometimes.

This is but one story on the travesties of Zen and dating. So there’s this guy Mark, he was gorgeous. And there’s this ex of Mark’s, Trish. Trish and I were good buds; there was no beef between us because Mark and I were going out.

The story begins that we were friends. I was phenomenally drunk down at the ocean front one night a few years ago and I tackled him on a street corner and he lifted me up off the ground for one of those movie-esque kisses. Two nights later we go on our first date.

I was a nervous wreck, but after a bottle of wine was feeling much better. Long story short we hit it off, but apparently not nearly as well as I thought. Yes there were doubts on my part as friends could tell you, but I’m a romantic which loosely defined means: I prefer to shove my head up my ass than realize someone does not like me in that way. After the third date in a week a week passed and I had not heard from Mark.

Feeling a modicum of depression I decided to grab some friends and go out to the bars. Who did we run into but Mark and Trish! Yes, they were together. I stood there in shock as they were a giant pretzel of drunken arms and sweat in the middle of the bar.

Trish sees me and breaks free of Mark’s entanglement and rushes over to me and my friends. She then hugs me and whispers in my ear “Zen, thank you SO much for going out with him! He realized what we had and came back to me!!” Word for word I sh** you not. Meanwhile in my head: “Oh gee allow me to start the parade I had prepared for just such an occasion! And hang on! My heart is flip-flopping somewhere around the floor of this bar and I should find it before I congratulate you properly! I hate you get off of me!!”

Yeah that blew. But hey now I can’t think about it without laughing. And it did not take very long after they broke up for me to make amends with Mark. That would be because Trish and Mark broke up again about a month later, and guess who came crawlin back?
And I had a huge grin on my face!!!- while I walked away.

My weekend: Colts win.  I sunk four pong shots in a row- it was fabulous! Went to a catered baby shower- food was amazing!!! And then of course there is this little snippet from the news:

T.O. is out- which if you ask me makes the Skins loss a little brighter. 2-4 weeks with a broken finger…awwwww…..poor T.O.!!!

Cowboys’ Terrell Owens to Miss 2-4 Weeks After Breaking Finger

Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) — Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens will miss two to four weeks after breaking a finger during last night’s 27-10 win over the Washington Redskins.

Owens, who broke the ring finger on his right hand, said he may have surgery today or tomorrow. Dallas has a bye next week.

“I feel like I’m a quick healer,” Owens said in a televised post-game news conference. “Once we have the surgery, the healing process will start. I’m going to try to get back as soon as I can.”

Owens said he was injured on one of the first plays of the game when his hand got caught in one of the Redskins’ jersey. He played the rest of the game, and finished with three catches for 19 yards. He had three drops, including a touchdown pass on the opening drive.
