WHAT THE HELL????

I don’t mean to beat up on the geek dogs but…

Last night my cat apparently flew off my balcony. I realized this when I woke up on my couch at 1am and noticed she was not following me around. I searched for an hour, then outside I heard a faint ‘meow.’

I found my cat in an unrented apartment on the ground floor of the building next to mine. Here’s the weird thing- she was in an outdoor closet - WITH THE DOOR SHUT BEHIND HER!!- it was open enough that she could push her way out…but still!! How did she do that?? (and trust she ain’t no brilliant kitty)

So I am walking back to my place when I run into a strange man and he of all people turns to ME and says “HOLY CRAP YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!” I actually apologized!! I said ‘oh missing cat in the middle of the night sorry!’ Cheese and rice! I scared him??!!

Nuff said.

Looking at a picture of someone and realizing that if they enjoy spending time with you, you must be a good person because they are. That is how you measure if you are a good person; you do it by measuring their friends.

I am surrounded by gentle hearts with strong minds.

I am surrounded by friends who love to laugh.  They love to laugh because they are happy and because their lives are falling apart at the moment.

I am surrounded by friends who challenge me and open my eyes, ears, and mind to new things.

I am surrounded by friends near and far; some I only speak with every once and a while. To those whose lives can never seem to coordinate with mine, you know I am always with you in your heart and I am always a phone call, plane/train/automobile ride away.

I am surrounded by friends who are each unique and beautiful in their own way. Each impacts me differently and thus each holds a distinct special place in my heart.

For each and every smile today, and every day after, I thank you my friends.

I am truly blessed.

My work had a chili cook off.  I had never made chili before.  I pulled a recipe off the internet and tweaked it a little.  I went into work with my chili to find a dozen or so other chili’s that were, homemade recipes, recipes that had been passed down generations, recipes that were ‘men’s chili.’  I was not even in the room for the announcement of the winners.  I won best over all.  My friend comes to find me and tells me I won.  I walk into the room with all the winners and without thinking yell “it was my first time!”  Offended a few people.

I’m damn proud.

So that is the new thursday game…I will post the new releases for you, and I will wager which one is going to be on top!

Forgive me ya’ll I know it is probably better that my Colts lost now so we have something to fight for but damn…to the cowboys??!!! I HATE THE COWBOYS!
