Barbeque- What to do if your house is on fire
Remember, if a fire breaks out in your home, always test the door first. If it’s hot, find another exit or yell for help.

No comments“The Pillars of Creation”

Explanation: It has become one of the most famous images of modern times. This image, taken with the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995, shows evaporating gaseous globules (EGGs) emerging from pillars of molecular hydrogen gas and dust. The giant pillars are light years in length and are so dense that interior gas contracts gravitationally to form stars. At each pillars’ end, the intense radiation of bright young stars causes low density material to boil away, leaving stellar nurseries of dense EGGs exposed. The Eagle Nebula, associated with the open star cluster M16, lies about 7000 light years away. The pillars of creation were imaged recently by the orbiting Chandra X-ray Observatory, and it was found that most EGGS are not strong emitters of X-rays.

No commentsThe Polish Dinner

Every year my mom, who is Polish, cooks an authentic Polish Dinner for an ever multiplying party of people. It is a drunken fest of great food, great people, and lots of laughter.
‘The Polish Dinner’ became a family tradition about eight years ago; it is what it is called. Friends, neighbors, family, and pretty much anyone with an invite is welcome to come sip Polish Vodka and eat phenomenal homemade cuisine. Once you have been invited once you are invited forever - unless you do something that goes against the family (and no I’m not kidding about that.) It is a guaranteed great night. We eat kielbasa, home-made sauerkraut, pierogis, borscht, galumpki, latkes and much more. If you don’t like to sip vodka, you can join me in the corner for shots. We have about ten different brands of beer, several bottles of wine open at any given time, and of course all the Polish Vodka your heart could desire. I will update some pictures this year and spread the word. And between y0u and me, I recommend building a tradition like this in every home.
“Może wasz rok jest zapełni z miłością, zdrowie, i moż Polski Obad żyją na!”
“May your year be filled with love, health, and laughter, and may the Polish Dinner live on!”
